Force Surgeon (N00M)

The Military Sealift Command Force Surgeon oversees MSC health policy and execution for civil service mariners, active duty MSC sailors and activated MSC Reservists. The Force Surgeon's office enables MSC to maintain the maximum state of operational readiness by ensuring the highest quality medical care possible, promoting healthy lifestyles and ensuring the continuous improvement of health care delivery systems through preventive medicine. The Force Surgeon also oversees the shipboard hospitals - called medical treatment facilities - aboard MSC's two hospital ships, USNS Comfort and USNS Mercy.
