USS FRANK CABLE, Japan (October 20, 2013) – Charles Kensler (left) and Romel Mercado, both civilian mariners assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), stow the line used to moor the ship while the ship prepares to get underway from Fleet Activities Yokosuka. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and is currently on a scheduled deployment.
