Subj: Evaluation Board Results - Junior Supply Officer #12-802-01MP

1. The evaluation reviews for Junior Supply Officer has been completed to identify the candidates to meet MSFSC's current and future requirements. The board members looked for demonstrated and documented experience as it relates to the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA'S) that were published in the original promotion opportunity announcement.

2. Best Qualified candidates are eligible for permanent promotion consideration which is contingent upon manpower authorization and successful completion of an administrative review. In accordance with COMSFSC Instruction 12335.2 "Merit Promotion Program for Civilian Marine Personnel," the administrative review is conducted to identify disciplinary, security or medical issues, and to validate acceptable performance evaluations.

3. Qualified candidates are eligible for temporary promotion consideration at the discretion and approval of MSFSC's CIVMAR Placement Division.

4. Current Promotion Opportunity Announcements (POAs) are available online at www.msc.navy.mil/civmar/, ship's Purser/Master/Chief Engineers, Customer Support Unit (CSU) Offices, CIVMAR Support Center and the Employment Division. Candidates who wish to be considered for future promotion opportunities should commence preparing documentation now. Candidates are encouraged to review the KSA's required on the Promotion Opportunity Announcement and provide evaluations, awards, training, education and job related MSC military or commercial experience, etc. as examples of their ability to meet the KSA requirements. "A Guide to Presenting Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities" is available on all ships and at CSU offices.
