MSC dry cargo/ammunition ships USNS Sacagawea, left, and USNS Lewis and Clark, right, are part of a new generation of ships that provide underway replenishment of ammunition, provisions, stores, spare parts, potable water and petroleumproducts to the Navy's underway carrier and expeditionary strike groups - allowing themto stay at sea, on station and combat ready.
